Mountain Path

Since 2018, TAQA in the UK has ‘adopted’ a popular mountain path on Royal Deeside in Scotland.  Broadcairn, a 6 km path on Balmoral Estate, leads to the summits of both Broad Cairn itself and Cairn Bannoch and is one of the handful of popular walks leading off Loch Muick, a freshwater loch lying around 16 km south of Ballater. The adoption of the path is part of an initiative by the Outdoor Access Trust for Scotland, a conservation charity involved in the preservation, restoration and upgrading of our unique upland paths in both of Scotland’s National Parks.  TAQA’s funding helps with the costs associated with repairing and maintaining the path and throughout the year groups of volunteers from TAQA help with this work.
